This scene was painted on location at Marquette IA along the Great River Road. This casino boat is tethered there and offers locals and visitors entertainment on the Mighty Mississippi River. The narrow band of gravel where I stood between the River and the railroad tracks that scoots along side it made for a nice little adventurous morning of painting, while listening to eagles cry over the river banks and trains screech their way into town.
