I painted this piece on a rugged road on the backside of the historic Motor Mill outside of Elkader, IA. I came upon this old barn near the Turkey River on a piece of private property. It was a quiet morning with no one around, so I wasn't disturbing anyone, but was just slightly trespassing. I was thrilled when this original painting sold during the Art in the Alley event in Elkader later that year.
