I began this piece on location at a privately owned quarry pond in Omaha, which was created to replicate Monet's gardens - right down to the turquoise colored bridge. The sun bouncing off the water lilies caught my eye. I enjoyed that morning painting with other artists from the American Impressionist Society at this perfect location. This piece was later finished up in my studio.
