Lucy J Blankstein enjoys the touch of the paint on canvas, the manipulation of her photos on the computer, and making monotypes, and masks. She taught art in Ecuador and in the Dominican Republic where she established an art colloquium. Blankstein served as Executive Director of the Washington Women’s Art Center (’76-77) co-producing the documentary with Ellouise Schoettler, Voices and More in 2018 (voicesandmore.com). She has worked in major WDC museums, started, the Lee Arts Center Gallery (VA), ran Gallery 10’s Inner Space and is a gallerist at The Cabinet: ART. She assists in curating GP93 shows. (BA Grinnell)
