I work with antique, vintage and decorative papers in my collage practice. Each piece of paper is treated according to its properties and glued with various adhesives using a brayer or brush depending upon its size and how I want to present the paper – either flat adhered to a surface or free floating. I build boxes out of 8ply matboard that function as frames for my collages. The boxes are covered in paper and metal leaf. Some of the collages are 3D with varying levels through the composition.
