Created by the Spring 2026 Basics of Screenprinting class in the printshop at the University of Maryland, College Park, our collective work responds to an era of digital overload and visual distraction. We focused on small, comforting objects—a Pikachu toy, a family vacation shell—as a post-digital manifest. We transformed personal, significant items into digital halftones, then manually printed a massive 50 x 65 inch shared frame. The composition is finished with hand-glued elements, including vintage advertisements and maps from the MET Museum guide.
Inspired by the amazing Carlos Hernandez, we embrace the tactile ritual of the shop to find focus amidst the noise. Printing madness forever and long live analog!
