Shoe styles say whatever women wish to express: classy, sexy, absurd, cloddy, sporty, matronly, exotic, sparkly, strappy, sensible, and also boots of personality.
They could be too tight, too high, too pinchy, too wobbly, too wide, too short, or hopefully, fit just right. But, “they’re in style and I’m wearing them!” most of us say at some point in our lives.

Women have been forever lured and influenced by trends in fashion. Our feet take a beating over time in ill-fitting shoes such as stilettos, pointed toes, high platforms and other impossible designs that hamper walking, sprain ankles, create back problems, bunions and toe problems. Not a pretty picture! Most of us want that gorgeous item to be our foot statement, so we put up with the pain for a couple of hours, here and there, negating future consequences. But, hey, you only live once!

I’ve created a pattern for each shoe. Some are cut from a single sheet of metal, then folded and shaped into the three-dimensional basic form. Soles and details are added separately. Others are constructed, joining together many metal parts and mediums, such as “Hell On Wheels.” My metal shoes are created to emphasize the idea of alluring shoe styles that mimic and/or exaggerate some of those we must wear.
