In 1938, England was willing to take Jewish Children up to the age of 16 out of Nazi Germany. This was called Kindertransport. My cousins, Lili, age 11 and Gerd, age 9 were on this ship waving goodbye to their parents who they assumed would follow; but they never did. They were brought up in a foster home. (See Lili in the photo with the tag around her neck.) The silkscreen is from an image of them as older teenagers.
