For over two decades, I have worked with mesh as a primary medium, exploring its inherent
tension between structure and fluidity. In Bent Out of Shape, I merge aluminum mesh with
canvas to create a monochromatic, low-relief sculpture that blurs the boundary between painting
and sculpture. The subtle shifts in surface capture light and shadow, emphasizing the quiet
elegance of form over color. This work reflects my ongoing investigation into how humble
materials can be transformed through process, offering a meditative interplay of texture,
dimensionality, and light.
