Armor Eaters is a wall-mounted unglazed ceramic and bronze sculpture. It explores the tension between protection and vulnerability, using the intimate forms of a bra and underwear. These ceramic garments are being swarmed by cast bronze moths, which cling to, crawl over, and burrow into them. The moths’ relentless consumption of what is meant to shield and protect echoes the slow, often invisible processes by which autonomy and security are undermined. The viewer is invited to confront the discomfort of watching protective boundaries corrode and reflect on the emotional toll of living in a time when control over one’s body and future feels increasingly precarious.
