Artist: Daniel Shay
Daniel Shay is a sculptor, painter and teacher who exhibits in national and international venues. Past president of the International Artist’s Support Group (IASG), in 2018 he ‘graduated’ from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC as Art Services Manager after 37 years of government service. Awarded a Smith Fellowship for ‘Bamboo Sculpture inspired by the Montagnard (Dega)’ by the National Gallery, polychrome bamboo sculpture is the focus of studio production. In Russia he gave the first international lecture on his rolling meditation series at the Pushkin State Museum in Moscow.

He has been able to sketch and study in many of the great museums of the world such as the Prado, Hermitage, Cairo Museum and down in the excavated pits of the terra cotta warriors in Xian, China.
