The three sculptures that make up this installation-4', 5' & 6' respectively-are from the artist’s 3-D wedge series, which originated with the study of cones and the interesting shapes they create from different perspectives.

"Colorful Crescendos" was installed in the Gene Leahy Mall in 2005 as part of the Wind & Water Sculpture Project (2002-05) created in conjunction with the Omaha Summer Arts Festival. It was moved from that location when renovations to the mall began in 2019, and placed in its current location near the marina at Flanagan Lake.
