"Centennial Arch" was created as a tribute to St. Cecilia's Parish on the occasion of its centennial to recognize the parish commitment to catholic education. It was made possible with donations from Mr. & Mrs. Hugh A. Wichert and Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. Soener.

The permanent shadows within the bricks of the installation suggest the lasting influence of both the Cathedral and the Cathedral High School. The asymmetrical design symbolizes the incompleteness of life's journey; stepping through the arch is meant to suggest entry into a passageway to a future 100 years of St. Cecilia's
