The Original Angel of Hope statue, inspired by the book, was dedicated on December 6, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Donated by the Compassionate Friends Greater Omaha chapter, this piece is one of 100 identical pieces nationwide. It stands as "a symbol of hope for all parents and loved ones who have experienced the death of a child, not matter what age."
