"The Critics" reflects my personal journey of confronting inner voices that have shaped and, at times, restricted me: the People Pleaser, Perfectionist, Judge, Anxiety, and Imposter. These five figures stand before a vibrant red door, symbolizing opportunity and hope. Once protectors, these critics now represent barriers I am ready to overcome.

This painting captures the moment of transition—a recognition of their past purpose and a decision to step forward into the light. It is an invitation to the viewer to consider their own inner critics and to find the courage to move toward new opportunities with clarity and confidence.

Through "The Critics," I honor the past while embracing freedom, authenticity, and the promise of what lies beyond.
