Australian Magpies are intelligent and elegant-looking birds. A family live of 5 on our property and are fascinating to watch as they forage on the ground. They love to tease the dogs -sitting on the back wall of the yard and making them bark, but flying only just out of reach. Despite having what some people think of as fierce faces, they're normal demeanor outside of breeding season is curious and generally relaxed.
