Gang Gang cockatoos are a short, stocky parrot with a unique gravelly voice, native to the cooler and wetter (often alpine) South eastern parts of Australia. I was lucky enough to meet a few at a local bird shop here in WA and I was captivated bu their cheeky expressions and the wispy "bed-head" crests.
