Confluence
- Perforated Aluminum, aircraft cable
- Talley Fisher
Confluence is a suspended sculpture by artist Talley Fisher, who draws inspiration from her deep interest in science and the natural world. The suspended sculpture, with ripples of blue and aqua flowing through the concourse, honors and symbolizes the three great rivers of Pittsburgh: the Allegheny, the Monongahela, and the Ohio.
Brightly painted perforated aluminum sculpture takes the shape of various thin and curves pieces, hanging in the air. The movement resembles water, and the bright teal and blue colors of the metal evoke feelings of calmness.
