The St Peter Port Skyline is an iconic welcome to anyone returning on the Condor Ferry or from a Herm/Sark trip away. It is interesting to me in several ways, particularly how the buildings stack up on top of each other and also the colours of the buildings themselves. This piece is depicting the view you see and how all the colours blend and merge when there is rain in the air. It is almost as if the rain is able to mix the landscape in the same way that one can mix an artists palette. The pinks and purples create the reflective surfaces of the water seen below the skyline.
