This artwork is part of a series about Telomeres.
Telomeres are the distinctive structures found at the ends of our chromosomes.
They are made from DNA sequences repeated over and over again.
A Telomere is also required for cell division, allowing the chromosome to be replicated correctly.
I imagined the visual aspect of the multiple divisions in this series.
As their length shortens, I use shorter pieces of tape to reflect the aging aspect.
