This artwork is part of a series about Assonance.
This series aims to highlight the musicality and meaning of words without words.
Sound patterns help to divide a poem into sections.
The kind of repetition that most people associate with poetry is the repetition of sounds, particularly in rhyme.
But other sound patterns create additional meaning: alliteration, assonance, and onomatopoeia.
Alliteration, assonance, and onomatopoeia are all important sound patterns in poetry that can be used to create specific effects and convey meaning.
I imagined the visual aspects of these three types of repetition and how they can be harmonized to create an abstract wave-like composition.
