Phantasies about Monet's garden in Giverny inspired this painting. As I am living in the middle of a bigger city, I imagine it such a pleasure to have a beautiful garden like this! But it's only a dream, it must be so much work to keep it beautiful. Monet had to employ six gardeners to keep up with it. He himself also was a passionate gardeners and knowledgeable around the art of gardening. And of course his garden inspired many of his paintings.
