This work is an homage to Rumi, particular to the following sentence: 'Beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.'
I like the idea that between right and wrong there is something else. Especially in creative work, in painting, the categories of right and wrong are not helpful. Painting represents a realm that draws from the unconscious and from an inner reality, transcending the dualism that so often governs our lives.
