The Veil

The Veil is a companion piece to Guantanamo and Justice: The Patriot Act Beliefs and customs that do not provide a proper respect for women within their cultures reignite my passion for equality. My reactions to this type of injustice range between severe irritation and outright rage. A sense of indignation has fuelled this type of artwork, thus creating The Rethink Collection: Intentional Art, as I have named it - a form of expression that addresses socio-political issues: A critique of political organizations or authorities through aesthetic images to inform the viewer. Artistic statements, such as The Veil, remain paramount for me. It has been created out of a sense of moral concern for those who are persecuted or disadvantaged. This sculpture carries the message through a series of delicate and intelligent contrasts.
