Born in Hungary in 1926, Anna Noëh studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Budapest from 1952 to 1956. Thereafter, she received a scholarship from the Rockefeller Foundation which allowed her to attend the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

She settled in Montreal in 1957. Highly interested in Inuit culture and the Canadian Arctic, she visited Northern Canada several times drawing sketches and painting scenes from everyday life.

She is a part of many private and public collections. She has also been exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Quebec, and Musée d’Art de Joliette.
