10989 Dunlop Rd
10989 Dunlop Road is a series of 60+ paintings I made of one specific view in my mother's garden in kwekwenis (Lang Bay), British Columbia, Canada. In this series—collectively titled after the location’s address—I explore multiple iterations on a grouping of trees surrounding the entrance to the rural south-of-town property.
Interiors & Still Life
These paintings are scenes from my daily life. Moments from around my home and intimate observations of its objects.
Mason Jars
I have been making paintings of mason jars for the last couple years. There is a universality about them that intrigues me.
Mason jars were invented by John Landis Mason in November of 1858 and have become indispensable to everyone from homesteaders to hipsters since. We’ve all got at least a couple kicking around out house holding everything from food, to random screws and nails. They even make great vases in a pinch. In my house they serve as drinking glasses, dry food storage, leftover storage, and as jars to hold my painting medium.

The Lions (The Sisters)
The Lions (The Sisters) are a pair of twin peaks crowning the skyline of Vancouver's North Shore.
I first climbed up them when I was 15 and camped atop the west peak during a Harvest Moon.
Providing 360° views of Vancouver, the Howe Sound and the start of the Coastal Mountain Range, they have become a place of pilgrimage for me ever since.
Urban Parks, Suburban Gardens
Urban Parks, Suburban Gardens, is a series which pulls inspiration from the constructed landscapes of city parks and suburban gardens. This series is a mixture of paintings made en plein air and in the studio.
