late light in the Northern Cape towards Victoria West. After the early rains the umbers and duns of the dry season turn gloriously fresh olive green.
The mountains depicted in this painting are of the Victoria West range, a part of the Beaufort Group. This scene is off the N1 between three Sisters and Richmond looking towards Victoria West.
I just loved the crisp late evening light and contrasts in this painting... so typical of our Great Karoo
