The life – cycle of the Totora plant (cattail) as it traverses from a small plant to the raw material used to build the floating city in Lake Titicaca, Perú. This painting depicts the struggles of the Totora since it’s appreciated more when is dead then when it’s alive. The brick like shape of the water prevents the Totora from moving forward; it will go nowhere as its life is cut short. The sky cries in sorrow in attempts to help fill the gaps of the lake in order to contribute to the Totora's freedom.
