The story of the pom-poms and how they are very important in Peruvian culture. Women in Peruvian culture wear braids and very often the braids are decorated with pom-poms, the color, the shape, and number of pom-poms dictate their marital status and how many children they have. Many men who see the women walking around the city wouldn't even approach them as their pom-poms tell the story of their lives.
