A story of resilience, both pieces interrelate to explain the beginning and end of the innocence of a little girl. During her younger years, her main purpose in life was to make everyone around her happy. As time went by, she discovered how cruel the world can be and fear for her wellbeing took over after she experienced mental, physical and sexual abuse all at once. Part 1 is smaller in size and the painting itself has a painted white mat as part of the piece. The choices of color suggest a happy beginning that soon becomes disrupted as one can see on the top right corner representing the beginning of sadness taking over her life. As we move along to Part 2, the painting gets bigger and the painting itself covers over the mat that still shows underneath the paint itself. The painting is larger to symbolize her pupils getting dilated and had almost shifted to a 45° angle. The splash of red is to represent blood and explain the death she is experiencing to her soul.
