short story with piece- script format-
“Well kid, this is your last stop.”, the driver growls from the front seat. Nick Cave’s O’ Children is playing over the radio:

“Here comes Frank and poor old Jim
They're gathering round with all my friends
We're older now, and the light is dim
And you are only just beginning
Oh, children
We have the answer to all your fears
It's short, it's simple, it's crystal-clear
It's roundabout and it's somewhere here
Lost amongst our winnings…”

You find the song fitting for the moment. You chuckle knowing most of Nick Cave’s songs seem fitting to every part of this story you find yourself in.

The driver turns back to you,” Where ya off anyway?”

You respond, blankly, “I don’t know, on a boat to somewhere new.”

The driver laughs, “I get that, anywhere is better than here. We’ve all been lost once or twice in our life. I hope you can find your way back to wherever you wanna be.”

He takes a long draw on his cigarette as you open the door, focused on the pier ahead of you, once again hoping the boat isn't late. As the sunset warms up the clouds, the rain storm passing pulls the gray clouds away. The driver pulls away as well, leaving you at your last stop…to your new destination.
