This painting is the result of many factors in my life, from my young son's fascination with Dinosaurs to my own. This painting started in the waiting room of a car repair shop. After sketching out the idea, I researched fossilized hadrosaurs and other ancient fossils. I enjoyed using what I've learned from painting landscapes and applying that to a childhood fantasy. I also enjoyed learning from the science of paleontology to help guide its accuracy. I documented the painting process with preliminary sketches and photos, which will be provided as a bonus.
