In my painting, I am interested in a non-narrative, non-literal, subjective way of experiencing the world - a tangle of associations of form, light, texture and importantly, color that create an impactful visual language that transcends ordinary words. Into this wordlessness I push and pull paint, adding, subtracting, and exaggerating to create shapes, surfaces and colors that appeal to me. My hope as I paint a parallel depiction to an ordinary reflection of the world is that viewers will enter and enjoy experiencing my world of universal realities, and archetypal and emotional dimensions.

Since 2009, I have been a member of the Montgomery Art Association and the Rockville Art Association. I have been juried into shows and have received awards.
