The inspiration for this artwork came from a photo I took at the Grand Canyon during a very dramatic winter storm. Even though the photo was taken with color film, it appears almost black and white, due to the lighting from the storm. In honor of my three brothers, who are color-blind, I decided to create a work in black, white, & gray. This is a major departure from my usual style, which is highly colorful as a reflection of my own view of the world.
