The area known as Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park has a very other-worldly quality, as if you’re on another planet. The contrast of the lush rolling hills in the middle ground with the harsh sulphur pools in the foreground and the jagged, rocky peaks in the distance makes you ponder what incredible forces of nature it took to create this magical landscape. The steam rising out of the springs softens the harsh look in some areas and offers proof that the land is still going through a metamorphosis.
