In addition to being inspired by landscapes that I photograph, I have favorite song titles and lyrics that influence my direction. Sometimes I don’t name a work until it’s finished and then I let it speak its name to me and that was the case with this one. As I spent time immersed in the finished scene of the Oregon coast, the song “Four Strong Winds” kept popping into my head so I knew that was what it wanted to be.
