‘Spring Blooms’ is part of my figurative dance collection. Its lightness comes from a sunny day (even in January) that warmed my soul The model’s poses seemed equally buoyant and thoughtful. I never asked if they were also dreaming of spring. I layered ink and colored pencil over the original pencil drawings. Although there are times when nudity can feel provocative, these figures are androgynous and simple in form to emphasize the movement and interplay between shapes.
