SOLD! Original drawing from a live model session using conte' crayon on charcoal paper. Matted and ready for a 20" x 16" frame.
When the model struck this pose, it aligned perfectly with her spirit of adventure. Her penchant for action spoke clearly from her confident stance and her direct, almost challenging gaze.
So, I quickly changed my drawing paper from a modest gray to a tawny tangerine.
To further emphasize the model’s qualities of pluck, I used brisk, angular lines in the background that radiate from the figure with decisive energy.
This drawing is a tribute to the women of courage that inspire in us a bit of zing as we reach a little further, speak more boldly, or try something new.
One of a series of award-winning drawings of the human form by Pat Cross.
