Now Available! A rounded river boulder stands watch along the river bank as the stream passes by. A veteran tree leans in for a better view of what lies ahead upstream.
In this painting, the artist layered glazes of oil paint to add luminance to the colors. Some areas are carefully blended while others are applied with a painting knife to set in contrast the rich texture. Painted on a 10" x 10" gallery wrap canvas, the water flows around the 1.5" deep edge, addin more dimension to the piece. It is wired and ready to hang, yet may perch on a shelf, prop on an easel, lean on a mantel, offering many display options. All materials in this oil painting are of archival quality for lasting impressions.
One of a series of oil paintings on natural waterways by Pat Cross.
