A native Texan, Cathy enjoys writing as well as her award winning visual artistry. Throughout her life, she has been attracted to the wild beauty and history- laden stories of the Lone Star State.
The child of two Texas schoolteachers, her creativity was encouraged at an early age. A graduate of Denton High School, she continued her studies at the University of North Texas and The University of Texas at Austin.
Cathy’s most recent choice of medium is bits of glass, pottery and all things breakable! “Breaking things can be good therapy,” she said.
Prolific with pen and ink, charcoal, pencil and photography, Cathy has enjoyed sharing her art with many others.
Her writing includes poetry, songs, a screenplay, and short stories. A life-long dream in the making, she has just released her first book, “Pancake the Texas Cat.
“Home is where the heart is;” she said. “If that is true, May your journey always lead you home. It did me!”
