The artwork is a whimsical, humanoid lamp sculpture constructed from various repurposed household objects. The head is a large incandescent light bulb. The torso is made from a red rectangular tea tin featuring a floral design and a 'Secret Garden' label (one of my favorite books as a child). Her arms are made of forks covered by vintage curling rods. The hands are curled forks, with one holding a small, ornate bouquet of dried flowers and beads, while the other holds a brass flower basket. The figure's skirt is crafted from a textured, metal tin. The legs are from a porcelain doll I had as a child, all mounted on a round white base for stability. The head is topped with an inverted metal colander, serving as a hat. The piece blends everyday materials into a playful, anthropomorphic form.
