This piece resonates deeply with me in an expressive manner to interpret the beauty of Tyler Texas and its culture, roses. When I moved here, I knew very little about this city. When I learned that this places whole culture relied on a single flower, the rose, it definitely seemed like a foreign concept to me. But then I dug deeper in this it finally enlightened me. It is not just the rose itself that this city bases its culture on, but the nature of the rose. Rose as a plant need lots of care and devotion to survive in this brutal world and environment. That is exactly what Tyler does, the communities, the people, and the organizations all work together to care and preserve this city like tending to the rose plant itself.
