Dedicated November 8, 1986. This monument was erected “in memory of the sons and daughters of South Carolina who lost their lives in the service of their country in Vietnam” by the Vietnam veterans of South Carolina, “through the generosity of the people of South Carolina.” The names of those from South Carolina who were killed or declared Missing in Action in Vietnam, organized by county, are inscribed on the walls of the monument.
