McClellan works in a wide range of mediums, with a focus on acrylic and oil painting, while also creating with watercolor, inks, clay, ice sculpture, and food art. His work includes portraits, murals, faux finishing, custom hand-painted signs, edible art displays, face and body painting, and photography. Working under the name Interactive Artworks—formerly McD Art—McClellan has expanded his original vision into a larger creative company offering a wide range of artistic services. What began as one artist has grown into a global team that has created more than 3.5 million square feet of murals worldwide.
Today, Interactive Artworks specializes in one-of-a-kind, participatory art experiences that engage the imagination. Their murals can feature UV-responsive paints that glow under black light, projection mapping that adds layers of animation through light, and large-scale sculptures with remote-controlled, adaptable lighting systems. In addition to public art and immersive installations, their Creative Commercial Team transforms commercial spaces with bold artistic design—reimagining walls, ceilings, and fixtures beyond traditional painting.
