ARTIST STATEMENT
I've worked for years as a painter but have recently wanted to challenge myself and try new media. Printmaking has provided both new directions and new challenges. I find the planning and carving of a print to be slow and mindful process. The actual printing process involves several iterations; from start to finish, a print is a deliberate process, requiring patience. This work has not only been an artistic learning process but a life lesson.
