STATEMENT:
My goal as an artist is to dig down deep into life experiences, distill them into pure essence and mirror them back containing some form of universal truth.
I started my artistic life as a watercolor painter with pen & ink details. What you see in my photography reflects those early days. I am drawn to create images with a painterly feel that often contain patterns and lines.
Over the years I took up practicing and sometimes teaching Tai Chi and Qigong. So, in my creations I often express a meditative quality, a reflection of an inner searching or a sense of stillness.
I am also passionate about external explorations and what is in this exhibit are from my most recent trip to Germany, Austria and Hungary.
I will not talk with you about prizes I have won or where I have displayed my creations. Every artist places their soul on display and that is what I want you to know.
It is my hope you find something in these photos to spark your inner and outer explorations.
