Project Statement: Shelly Forbes describes the process, "For this collaboration I took an existing art piece from Dustin Burgert and “expanded” on it. To accomplish this I took a 2″ piece of foam board and inserted Dustin’s piece in the middle flush with surface of the foam board. From there I used drywall mud to “meld” the two pieces together and also gave the edge of the piece a “chiseled stone” look. At this point I extended the look of Dustin’s piece onto the foam board with acrylic paint and finished with a clear coat of resin"
