Rain, Resilience and Rainbows

A quilt that inspires hope

Rain, Resilience and Rainbows

Rain Resilience and Rainbows is inspired by Kim McLean’s “Flower Pots” pattern. I tried to mix as many African fabrics as I could with colorful batiks and traditional fabrics. The applique was done by hand. It was custom quilted by Carolyn Duke.

The fabric on the back is a rainbow fabric with people swinging through the sky. The binding is also a rainbow print.

I embellished with crystals so that the quilt will pick up the light when on display. There is a hanging sleeve on the back and a label that documents the quilt.
