Memories of My Mill town

Growing up in Crossett, Arkansas

Memories of My Mill town

Celebrating my personal Black History with the newest addition to my personal heirloom collection of quilts Memories of My Mill Town. Crossett, AR was a mill town and everyone worked for Georgia Pacific. It smelled like a mill town. Some would say it stank. We said it smelled like money.🤑

However it smelled, my mill town had a library and that’s where I spent most of my time. The colors in this quilt capture the essence of my mill town. It hangs in my library —lest I forget. #blackhistory #crossett #crossettarkansas #africanamericanquilter #library #ovsfulfilledfebruary #joyandgratitude #alifeofsimpleabundance #africanfabric #africanquilt #traditionalquilt #quiltedwallhanging #wallhanging #ovbrantleyquiltstudio #shareblackstories #ovbrantleyquilts #ovbrantleyquiltsonetsy #quiltsofinstagram #quiltersofinstagram
