Feeling a little Bohemian? Then Beach Houses at Sunset may be just the quilt for you. It depicts a beach scene with all of its color and texture.
Beach Houses at Sunset is composed of house blocks and a landscape beach scene. The beach is embellished with appliquéd fish, painted buttons and shell buttons. The houses are embellished with painted butterflies and birds. African prints are sprinkled throughout the quilt, and all of the houses have musical doors. Maybe there’s a house party going on?
The quilt measures 46x55 inches. I pieced it on my machine, and Maxine Moore quilted it on her longarm machine.
The fabric on the back of the quilt depicts beach chairs to carry out the theme of the quilt. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
This quilt is one-of-a-kind. I signed it on the front.
